About The Position
Seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for a Locum Tenens position in Flint, MI. This inpatient role involves providing clinical coverage for general surgical adult and trauma cases, including procedures such as Central Line insertion, Chest Tube Insertion, and Vascular Access Devices. The coverage period is from June 30 to December 31, 2026, with a shift schedule of 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekends. The patient volume is typically 15-20 patients per day. Backup is provided by IP Trauma Call overnight, with Trauma Surgeons on call from home.
Requirements
- Active MI license
- BC (Board Certified)
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
- DEA license
- Must be local
- Must be COVID vaccinated
- Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the month)
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage for general surgical adult and trauma cases.
- Perform procedures including Central Line insertion, Chest Tube Insertion, and Vascular Access Devices.
- Manage inpatient surgical patients.
- Work a 7 PM to 7 AM shift schedule, including weekends.
