About The Position

Ascension Seton is looking for a PA or AGACNP for our Trauma Surgery Department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays located in Kyle, TX. Join an established team of physicians and APPs. Practice setting: inpatient. Patient population 15 years and up. Employed position within a nonprofit health system. Deliver comprehensive direct care by conducting thorough patient histories, physical assessments, and preventative screenings to build an accurate picture of each patient's current health status. Formulate precise treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care under physician supervision. Manage ongoing health conditions through direct therapeutic interventions and meticulous documentation, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient care journey. Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on preventative health, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness and self-care.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years of APP experience in an acute care setting
