About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Thoracic Surgery. The role involves providing clinical support in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings. The coverage period is from July 27, 2026, to October 31, 2026. The schedule is 3-4 days per week with 10-hour shifts, and call is unlikely to be needed. Responsibilities include first assisting in the OR, managing office patients, performing inpatient rounding, admissions, and discharges, and collaborating with the thoracic surgery team. The patient demographic is adults, and the case mix includes Thoracic Surgery, Lung Surgery, Foregut Surgery, and Minimally Invasive Procedures. Specialty backup from the Thoracic Surgery Team is available.

Requirements

• Active CT License preferred
• Board Certified/Board Eligible as NP or PA
• Thoracic (non-cardiac) and robotic surgery experience required
• Current Flu vaccination required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with minimally invasive thoracic and foregut surgery preferred
