About The Position

The In-Room Dining Cashier is the primary point of contact for guests ordering meals or beverages for in-room delivery. The role closes checks to the correct account, gives servers the information they need to deliver orders efficiently and accurately, facilitates amenity deliveries, and follows up with guests to confirm their orders were delivered to their satisfaction. The cashier is expected to support timely, accurate service and a high-quality guest experience.

Requirements

Ability to communicate clearly in English with guests and coworkers, verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of computers and telephone systems.
Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service experience.
Previous cashiering experience.

Responsibilities

Follow Omni guidelines for upselling to enhance revenue and guest satisfaction.
Process and expedite Select Guest loyalty-program orders.
Follow Omni’s “Moments of Service” guidelines when receiving guest orders by telephone and online.
Confirm order details, quote accurate delivery information, and follow up on menu items and preparation details that are needed or suggested.
Enter guest orders into the MICROS point-of-sale system according to Omni standards.
Communicate order details, pricing, and delivery times to the Kitchen and Room Service delivery teams according to standards.
Work closely with In Room Dining Servers, accurately communicating pertinent order information so orders are delivered efficiently and to guest specifications.
Facilitate amenity deliveries and contact guests to confirm their orders were delivered satisfactorily.
Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
