About The Position
The In Room Dining Order Taker takes guests’ room-service orders, communicates them to servers, and helps expedite service. The role also performs control- and revenue-related paperwork. The position is with the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, a convention-center hotel in downtown Fort Worth that emphasizes guest service, associate engagement, innovation, and career development through its Power of One culture.
Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience in a fine-dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Room-service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer the phone within three rings.
- Take guests’ orders.
- Follow the prepared scenario to encourage upselling.
- Provide guests with the approximate delivery time for their orders.
- Prepare payment of checks.
- Maintain knowledge of the food menu and wine list.
- Know and adhere to all liability laws.
- Print reports at the end of the shift and bank out.
- Complete other assigned duties.
- Attend designated staff meetings and training sessions.
