About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse and order-fulfillment activities, including pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving products from the sales floor to a staging area, using a handheld scanner to verify merchandise and update locations, and operating equipment. The role supports BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.

The associate works to meet order deadlines, productivity requirements, service-level agreements, and performance goals while following standard operating procedures and club policies. The position also involves packaging orders, maintaining a clean and organized fulfillment area, handling returns and damaged or spoiled goods, and supporting other departments when needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

• Previous order-pulling experience is preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience is preferred.
• Previous RF scanner experience is preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift and move heavy or awkward objects over 50 pounds with assistance when required.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists and process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use handheld RF scanner devices to pick orders and verify merchandise.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and update merchandise locations as needed.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Package orders securely according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine whether they should be handled through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Maintain club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive, and respectful environment and deliver member service excellence.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
