About The Position

The Order Fulfillment Associate performs general warehouse activities supporting BJ’s digital initiatives, including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. The role involves pulling merchandise from pick lists, verifying items and quantities with a handheld RF scanner, moving merchandise from the sales floor to a staging area, and securely packaging orders according to standard operating procedures. Associates work to meet productivity expectations, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.

The associate communicates inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members. They maintain an orderly and clean Omni/SFC workspace and storage bins, handle damaged or spoiled goods and returns according to procedures, and follow club policies, safety standards, and dress-code requirements. The position may also involve working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Ability to continuously move about on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop to examine or scan merchandise.
• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward objects may need to be lifted and moved with assistance.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and loud equipment, with occasional exposure to temperature extremes when pulling refrigerated orders and to company-approved cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from pick lists using a handheld RF scanner, verify merchandise, and move orders from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory and equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders promptly to meet deadlines, productivity requirements, service-level agreements, and performance metrics.
• Follow established operating procedures and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Securely package orders according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the SFC area and storage bins clean, organized, and maintained according to safety standards; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods, spoiled products, and returns according to standard operating procedures, including determining whether returns go through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies and procedures, including dress-code standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive, and respectful environment; deliver service excellence and address or escalate member concerns.
• Work as a team to maintain daily GOLD club standards and a clean, organized environment.
• Understand how to access and read department production or financial performance reporting and how execution affects business results.
