About The Position

US Fertility has an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California. The role supports patients through preoperative care, surgery, and recovery, while contributing to the organization’s patient-centered fertility care and continuous improvement efforts. The schedule is every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 2 to 3 holidays per year. Compensation is $65 to $70 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
• Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications intravenously and by other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education.
