About The Position
US Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU RN to join the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California. The role supports patients through surgical and recovery care in a fertility-care setting and offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused team. The schedule is every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 2 to 3 holidays per year. Compensation is $65 to $70 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
- Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
