About The Position

US Fertility is hiring an OR/PACU RN for Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California. The role provides perioperative and post-anesthesia nursing care in a fertility care setting, with opportunities to contribute to patient care within a nationally respected organization.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with one to two weekends per month and two to three holidays per year. Compensation is $65 to $70 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
• Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education.
