About The Position
US Fertility has an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland. The role supports patients through preoperative assessment, surgery, and recovery, providing clinical care, education, comfort, and psychological support. The schedule is every other Sunday between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Compensation is $38 to $46 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
- Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
- Provide patient education.
