About The Position

US Fertility is hiring an OR/PACU RN for Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland. The role supports perioperative and post-anesthesia patient care in a fertility practice and offers the opportunity to work with patients and clinical teams within a nationally respected organization.

The schedule is every other Sunday, between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Compensation is $38 to $46 per hour, commensurate with experience. The RN performs preoperative assessments, develops and explains care plans, provides comfort and psychological support, cares for patients who have received anesthesia or conscious sedation, administers medications as directed, and provides patient education.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Nice To Haves

• Two to three years of clinical experience in an operating/procedure room or PACU experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and family members.
• Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education.
