About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Longmont, Colorado, is seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care. The role involves diagnosing and treating vision-related symptoms, performing necessary procedures, and instructing staff on how to assist with patient treatment. This is a part-time opportunity for 1–2 days per week, Saturdays, and/or PRN. The stated pay range is $500–$650 per day. The Optometrist may also be asked to perform other duties that support the business and its mission.

Requirements

• State optometry license in good standing.
• Strong interest in working with children.
• Ability to acquire or maintain a Medicaid Provider number and NPI number.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a diverse workload.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and service by responding promptly to the needs of patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and effectively treat them, including performing all necessary procedures.
• Provide comprehensive professional vision treatment plans using accepted clinical and diagnostic techniques to help patients achieve optimal vision health.
• Build a community within the practice that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention by developing strategies to achieve organizational goals, being available to staff, accepting feedback, developing subordinates’ skills, and encouraging growth.
• Arrange referrals to vision specialists when appropriate.
• Prepare a doctor case file that includes medical history, inform patients about general eye care and eye health at regular intervals, and stay informed about the latest vision treatment techniques.
• Perform other duties that support the business and its mission.
