About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Greeley, Colorado, is seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care. The role includes diagnosing and treating vision-related symptoms and instructing staff on how to assist in patient treatment. The position reports to the Vice President of Optometric Services and is a part-time opportunity for 1–2 days per week, Saturdays, and/or PRN. The stated pay range is $140,000–$165,000 per year, prorated.

The Optometrist provides professional vision care and treatment, supports patient and team needs, and helps build a practice community that promotes teammate satisfaction and retention. Other duties supporting the business and its mission may also be assigned.

Requirements

• State optometry license in good standing.
• Strong interest in working with children.
• Ability to acquire or maintain a Medicaid Provider number and NPI number.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a diverse workload.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks correctly and on time.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and service by responding promptly to the needs of patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and provide effective treatment and necessary procedures.
• Develop comprehensive professional vision treatment plans using accepted clinical and diagnostic techniques to help patients achieve optimal vision health.
• Build a practice community that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention by developing strategies to achieve organizational goals, being available to staff, accepting feedback, developing subordinates’ skills, and encouraging growth.
• Arrange referrals to vision specialists when appropriate.
• Prepare doctor case files, including medical histories; inform patients about general eye care and eye health at regular intervals; and stay informed about the latest vision treatment techniques.
• Perform other duties that support the business and its mission.
