Part-Time Optometrist | Outpatient Clinic Setting
About The Position
Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide vision care in a structured, community-based outpatient clinic setting serving senior populations. The optometrist works as an extension of the clinical team in an organized, coordinated environment. Clinic staff are on-site full time, with organized scheduling and patient flow and a value-based model focused on seniors. CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics so the optometrist can focus on patient care. This is an independent-contractor role paying $1,000 per day, with a schedule of 5–6 weekdays per month selected to fit the optometrist’s availability. Typical hours are 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. The role emphasizes quality over volume, predictable scheduling, administrative and logistical support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery. There are no nights, weekends, billing, or administrative responsibilities. The position serves Central New Jersey and the Jersey Shore.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
- Active New Jersey optometry license.
- Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
- Comfort practicing in outpatient clinic environments.
