About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optician in Training to join the team and begin a career in vision care. The role assists customers with selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, takes measurements to ensure proper lens fit, provides eyewear care guidance, processes orders, maintains records, and delivers customer service. The ideal candidate is willing to learn, communicates well, and pays close attention to detail.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Ability to stand for long periods, write legibly, communicate by phone, use manual dexterity with optical tools, and read and enter data into a computer.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience or training in this or a similar position is preferred but not required.
• A.B.O. certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Take accurate measurements and ensure proper lens fit.
• Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
