About The Position
The Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager is a leader who supports the Visionworks business and models the company’s way of working. This position supervises the store when the General Manager is absent and supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and associate coaching and development. The role helps deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 1–5 years of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Promote store profitability and sales goals by holding oneself and the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Model and participate in all steps of the patient/customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and on the sales floor.
- Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services, and ensuring patient and customer needs are met.
- Coach, motivate, and support associates in performing their roles to ensure a strong patient/customer experience.
- Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve patient/customer experience issues in partnership with the General Manager.
- Execute broad operational activities to meet store financial and customer experience goals.
