About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join an established group of 5 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists. The current need is for a general ophthalmologist who can provide comprehensive eye care. The group includes specialists in pediatric, retina, and glaucoma. The support staff consists of well-trained ophthalmic technicians, LPNs, and RNs. On-call duties involve every 5th weekend from Cooperstown, with infrequent busy periods. Outreach clinics are attended by all ophthalmologists, limited to one location each. Referral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well-established. The practice is within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system serving an 8-county region. This is an opportunity to join a progressive academic health system and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Requirements

MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE).
Completion of an accredited USA Ophthalmology Residency.
New York medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
BLS Certification Required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive eye care as a general ophthalmologist.
Participate in on-call duties every 5th weekend from Cooperstown.
Attend outreach clinics.
Collaborate with a team of ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Utilize EMR - EPIC system.

Benefits

Salary Range: $433,000 - $525,000 plus performance-based compensation.
Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000.
