Ophthalmology Physician
About The Position
Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join their staff. This is an opportunity to join an established group of 5 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists. The current need is for a high-volume cataract surgeon-general ophthalmologist. The support staff is well-trained and experienced in both the clinic and operating room. Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an eight-county region. Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Visa sponsorship is available for J-1 and H-1B candidates.
Requirements
- MD, DO or MBBS
- BE/BE in Ophthalmology
- Completion of an accredited USA Ophthalmology residency/fellowship
- New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification Required
Nice To Haves
- Sub-specialty interest in glaucoma, oculoplastic, cornea and cataract surgery would be welcome.
Responsibilities
- Perform high volume cataract surgeries.
- Provide general ophthalmology services.
- Potentially sub-specialize in glaucoma, oculoplastic, cornea, or cataract surgery.
- Participate in on-call duties every 5th weekend.
