About The Position
The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements. WVUHS Medical Group seeks an Ophthalmologist to practice in the primary location of Princeton, WV. The successful candidate will practice in the area of comprehensive ophthalmology. As a full member of our WVU Health System, Thomas Hospitals is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes. WVU Health System is the largest health system in the state of WV. Collectively, WVU Health System has a five-state presence allowing us to support 25 hospitals, more than 2,500 licensed beds, 4,900 providers, and over 30,000 employees.
Requirements
- MD or DO foreign equivalent
- Eligible to obtain state medical license
- Completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program
- Board certified/eligible in ophthalmology
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
