About The Position

Refocus is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join its established, multi-specialty ophthalmology group in Salisbury. The technician works closely with ophthalmologists and clinical staff to support patient care, diagnostic testing, surgical procedures, and clinic operations. Local travel is required; mileage is reimbursed when using a personal vehicle. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Nice To Haves

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification.

Responsibilities

Gather comprehensive patient information to support accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
Conduct preliminary examinations, including visual acuity and pupillary response testing.
Perform diagnostic tests, including OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
Assist ophthalmologists with minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
Manage patient flow in the clinic and imaging rooms in coordination with clinical staff.
Administer eye drops when certified.
Perform clinical, administrative, indirect, and other assigned tasks that support efficient, high-quality practice operations.
