About The Position

Bonnell Aluminum is hiring an Operator Level 1 to join its Extrusion team. The role assists with or operates a variety of machinery, inspects material against specified instructions, moves material to and from value streams, and maintains required tolerances. The operator is also expected to encourage efficient work, help defuse conflict, and support good decision-making. The position works Week 1 from Thursday through Saturday and Week 2 from Wednesday through Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. It reports to the Department Manager, with direction from the Team Captain.

Requirements

Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy loads.
Ability to perform basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.
Maintain excellent attendance.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Pass the company background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with or operate machinery, including cut-to-length saws, stretchers, the Ascona Measuring system, and walkie riders.
Inspect material according to specified instructions using measuring tools such as a tape measure, steel ruler, vernier or dial calipers, and protractors.
Move material to and from value streams.
Maintain all specified tolerances according to instructions.
Inspire others to work efficiently, defuse conflict, and make good decisions.
