About The Position

The Extruder Operator supports production within TOPPAN Packaging Americas’ manufacturing operations under the direction of the Supervisor. The role requires attention to safety, quality, productivity, and the company’s core values and work ethic. The operator runs and monitors the extrusion line at a mid-level skill capacity, performs light and preventive maintenance, and helps ensure the process meets production and quality standards. The position is based at the Plant City, Florida facility and follows a four-days-on/four-days-off schedule, working either 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience and/or related training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow directions and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to repair and maintain extruder line equipment.
• Forklift and clamp truck experience.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the extruder line at a mid-level skill capacity.
• Perform light and preventive maintenance, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Ensure the extrusion process meets production and quality standards.
• Safely operate a forklift and clamp truck.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make appropriate adjustments as needed.
