Extrusion Operator Level 1 (BWD - Team 6)
About The Position
Bonnell Aluminum is seeking an individual to join its Extrusion team as an Operator Level 1. The role assists with and operates various machinery, inspects material using measuring tools, moves material to and from value streams, and maintains specified tolerances. The operator is also expected to inspire others to work efficiently, defuse conflict, and make good decisions. The position is in the Extrusion department and reports to the Department Manager, with direction from the Team Captain. The schedule is 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday through Saturday in Week 1 and Wednesday through Saturday in Week 2.
Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy loads.
- Ability to perform basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.
- Maintain excellent attendance.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Pass the company background check and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with and operate machinery, including cut-to-length saws, stretchers, the Ascona Measuring system, and walkie riders (which require a valid Bonnell license).
- Inspect material according to specified instructions using measuring tools such as a tape measure, steel ruler, vernier or dial calipers, and protractors.
- Move material to and from value streams.
- Maintain all specified tolerances per instructions.
- Inspire others to work efficiently, defuse conflict, and make good decisions.
