About The Position

Carpenter Co. is hiring an Operator B Rebond - Grinding for its production team at the manufacturing plant in Temple, Texas. The position operates industrial grinder/hog equipment safely and efficiently to process material for downstream production teams, supplying the processed material (“buns”) needed to manufacture finished carpet cushion products. Training will take place on 1st shift for 4–6 weeks while the full team is onboarded; the role is otherwise identified as 3rd shift. Employees work to meet production goals while maintaining operational excellence.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Completion of required HAZMAT training.
Knowledge of how to set proper settings on all machinery controls.
Must pass an annual audiometric (hearing) test and pulmonary (lung) function test.
Ability to manage competing demands and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events smoothly.
Ability to maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

Determine foam material requirements and coordinate staging with the Lead Person based on the daily pouring schedule.
Communicate with the Shredder Operator to verify the correct material is pulled and maintain appropriate inventory levels in storage bins.
Perform pre-production machinery checks and clean grinding magnets.
Monitor equipment gauges to maximize operational efficiency.
Track and log daily production data accurately.
Follow standard operating procedures and complete assigned auxiliary tasks.
Follow safety and security procedures, use equipment properly, and promptly report potentially unsafe conditions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
