About The Position

York Container, an Atlantic Packaging Company, is seeking a self-driven EVOL Operator. The role is the team lead for an assigned work center, with primary responsibility for equipment operation, including mechanical and computerized setup, and for meeting production, quality, and safety standards. The operator also maintains assigned equipment and keeps the work area organized.

The operator follows job-specific production instructions and order tickets, performs scheduled quality checks, completes quality and production paperwork and data entry, and operates measuring equipment. The role also involves communicating with and instructing work-center team members, preparing required tooling, following facility safety practices, and helping maintain a neat, safe work environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Exceptional mechanical ability.
• Ability to use hand tools, small power tools, and computerized equipment setup processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain and organize assigned equipment and tooling.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic math, measurement, and computer skills.
• Ability to read supplied order sheets.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Corrugated manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and production order tickets, including CAD instructions, print card specifications, and packing instructions.
• Perform scheduled quality checks at setup, startup, and required intervals during production, comparing product with job specifications.
• Complete purge sheets, quality checklists, sampling, paperwork, and data entry.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and use measuring equipment.
• Lead the assigned work-center team, communicate clearly, and instruct other team members.
• Lift and prepare tooling required for assigned equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment and related tooling, and keep the work area organized.
• Follow facility safety guidelines, including applicable GMP and food-safety practices.
• Maintain professional conduct, attendance, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, and assist coworkers when possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
