About The Position

Carpenter Co. is hiring an Operator B/Accumulator machine operator for its 3rd shift team at its manufacturing plant in Temple, Texas. The position operates specialized manufacturing equipment to produce carpet cushion components and finished products for internal and external customers according to a daily production schedule. The employee is responsible for safe equipment operation, product quality, and maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work environment. Initial training will take place on 1st shift for 4–6 weeks while the full team is onboarded.

Requirements

Ability to lift carpet cushion rolls weighing between 35 and 90 lbs.
Ability to read a basic tape measure.
Ability to read, write, and completely understand the English labeling process.
Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.

Responsibilities

Operate the Accumulator machine to cut foam slabs into usable components according to the production schedule and customer specifications.
Monitor equipment to minimize machinery downtime.
Conduct quality checks to ensure wrapped rolls meet length and thickness specifications.
Rework defective or damaged rolls.
Communicate with management to ensure cut blocks are labeled properly.
Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
