About The Position

Flex is seeking an Operations Trainer in Salt Lake City, Utah, to assist and train employees in their job responsibilities and standard work, maintain certification and records goals, and perform actions related to quality findings. The position reports to the Operation Training Supervisor and supports production and organizational readiness through effective, consistent training practices.

Requirements

Manage projects effectively while collaborating within cross-functional teams.
Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements.
Implement and maintain 5S + 1 methods to improve workplace organization.
Model exemplary workplace behavior and demonstrate effective Ways of Working in the facility.
Use Microsoft PowerPoint and video creation skills to develop presentations and training materials.
Focus on continuous improvement through training and development initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Ability to speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

Support standard work and training practices.
Update individual employee training tracking as necessary.
Validate training effectiveness through the audit process.
Train employees to build confidence and support success in their roles at Flex.
Support efforts to address production defects and reduce mistakes on the assembly floor as necessary.
Assure and conduct high-quality, calibrated training across all sites.
Partner with safety, engineering, and quality teams on training within the site.
Develop themselves and others to support organizational readiness.
Act as a liaison for best-practice communication across sites.
Provide evidence of training and matrix reports as necessary.
Update area matrix reports daily with relevant information, including courses completed or missing and completion percentages.
