Operations Support Specialist
About The Position
Montana State Fund (MSF) is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to help ensure operational efficiency and an exceptional customer experience. The role supports timely and accurate intake of First Reports of Injury (FROI), provides administrative support to the operations team, and serves as a welcoming, professional first point of contact for visitors and callers. The position includes entering FROI information into the Claim Center system, gathering missing details from customers, maintaining documentation for claim review and investigation, verifying policy coverage, applying claim coding, determining claim routing, and following special handling instructions. It also provides front-desk support, maintains reception coverage, upholds building security protocols, and coordinates a range of administrative and event-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter First Reports of Injury (FROI) information into the Claim Center system.
- Gather missing claim details from customers and maintain clear documentation for downstream claim review and investigation.
- Verify policy coverage, apply correct claim coding, determine appropriate claim routing, and follow special handling instructions when required.
- Provide professional, friendly first-point-of-contact service to visitors and callers.
- Maintain consistent reception coverage and uphold building security protocols.
- Coordinate travel arrangements.
- Manage purchasing and supply inventory.
- Assist with departmental education and certification tracking.
- Schedule meetings and support internal and external events.
