About The Position

The Operations Supervisor coordinates and directs the delivery of quality service to maximize branch productivity. Working closely with the Branch Manager, this role provides supervision to support safety, branch metric performance, and Rental Flow efficiency, while contributing to sales and customer service. The role may also include day-to-day branch operations such as opening and closing, cash drawer reconciliation, and bank deposits. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years of sales and operational experience.
• At least 2 years of supervision and leadership experience.
• Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or a related industry.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Monitor branch scorecard items, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, coach and provide feedback to staff, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support sales and customer service, including processing rental quotations, reservations, and contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff are trained in and comply with the Rental Flow Process; monitor and control costs to support profitability and operational efficiency.
• Perform day-to-day operational activities as needed, including opening and closing, cash drawer reconciliation, and bank deposits.
• Motivate, coach, and train personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, personal compliance, accountability, and communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
