About The Position

As Operations Manager at United Rentals, you will use your leadership skills to coordinate and direct the overall delivery of quality service and maximize branch productivity. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will help ensure safety, world-class customer service, and compliance with standard processes to support effective and efficient operations. The position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of sales and operational experience.
• Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or a related industry.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
• Manage the performance of direct staff, including Inside Sales Representatives, Drivers, and other staff as applicable.
• Motivate, coach, and train personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, personal compliance, accountability, and communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
