About The Position

The Operations Supervisor coordinates and directs the delivery of quality service to maximize branch productivity. Working closely with the Branch Manager, this role provides supervision to support safety, branch metric performance, and Rental Flow efficiency while contributing sales and customer service support. The position is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
At least 3 years of sales and operational experience.
At least 2 years of supervision and leadership experience.
Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or a related field.
Strong motivational and leadership skills.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record.

Responsibilities

Support the Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies.
Monitor branch scorecard metrics, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, coach and provide feedback to staff, and recommend corrective actions.
Support sales and customer service, including processing rental quotations, reservations, and contracts in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure staff are trained and comply with the Rental Flow Process; monitor and control costs to support profitability and operational efficiency.
May handle daily operational activities such as opening and closing, cash drawer reconciliation, and bank deposits.
Motivate, coach, and train personnel.
Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, personal compliance, accountability, and communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.
