About The Position

The 2nd shift Operations Supervisor will lead the charge in transforming logistics and be part of a team that's making a difference. At Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the focus is on collaboration, care, and challenging the status quo daily to keep the world in motion and transform logistics into a zero-emissions, carbon-free industry. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday with a shift of 4pm-1am, requiring flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

3-5 years first line supervisory roles with a strong focus on employee relations.
Familiarity with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
Experience in assembly line operations, with emphasis on automotive or mechanical applications.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and database navigation.
A valid driver’s license and ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at times adverse weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.).
Ability to lift, carry, and hold items up to 30 lbs.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods while occasionally needing to bend, stoop, or climb steep ladders.

Oversee the Vehicle Processing Center, ensuring efficiency and safety in all operations.
Drive process enhancements that lead to operational excellence.
Meet and exceed performance targets while fostering a culture of safety and cost-effectiveness.
Lead and manage a team of skilled hourly workers to deliver quality, efficient, and profitable operations, driving synergies and operational efficiencies across all operations.
Create and manage healthy, effective relationships with key stakeholders and original equipment manufacturers.
