The supervisor is responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team of unionized employees during a day shift (Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – on site) at the Quality and Logistics Center of Plant 1 in Longueuil. Reporting to the Director of Operations, he is responsible for all tasks related to employee management, activity coordination, and ensuring the follow-up of priorities related to the inspection of purchased parts upon receipt and the review of non-conforming parts. He also serves as the resource person for internal and external clients and as the point of contact for employees and the management team.

  • Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations on the day shift at the Quality and Logistics Center
  • Ensure the achievement of key performance indicators: ESS, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, etc.
  • Manage unionized employees in accordance with the collective agreement
  • Prevent health, safety, and quality incidents by applying proper practices, methods, and behaviors (monthly inspections, floor audits, near-miss investigations, accident reports, RCCA)
  • Manage employee productivity while meeting operational priorities and objectives
  • Actively participate in the implementation of initiatives/projects for continuous organizational improvement
  • Develop an overtime management plan based on operational needs
  • Establish work schedules, balance shifts, and manage vacation planning
  • Manage organizational changes and ensure employee flexibility
  • Prepare annual performance evaluations and communicate them to employees
