About The Position
The Operations Supervisor leads all second-shift operations at AmeriLux and owns a full department, with responsibility for developing the department and team while delivering on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The schedule is 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. The role oversees production performance, workplace safety, product quality, staffing and labor costs, team performance, department costs, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience leading a production or manufacturing department, including direct people management.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and ownership of safety programs.
- Experience with safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all second-shift operations.
- Manage daily production output against schedule and demand.
- Ensure the safety of everyone on the floor, including OSHA compliance and incident response.
- Manage product quality and scrap or rework rates.
- Plan labor and staffing levels and control overtime.
- Directly supervise, coach, and manage the performance of the production team.
- Manage the department budget, cost per unit, and equipment uptime.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, layout, and throughput.
