About The Position

Gibbs Truck Centers is seeking a results-driven Operations Service Manager to lead its Santa Maria service department, strengthen customer relationships, and drive operational performance. The dealership has 55 years of industry experience and five locations throughout Central California, representing International, Isuzu, Cummins, and Idealease. The manager will lead a team of two Service Advisors and six Diesel Technicians and oversee daily service operations, workflow, productivity, customer satisfaction, department financial performance, and team development. The role also focuses on growing the service business and retaining commercial customers.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience managing operations, a service department, or a related team.
Working knowledge of diesel engines, commercial trucks, or heavy equipment.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage workflow, productivity, and business results.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience in agriculture, farming, ranch operations, or winery operations.
Dealership software experience, such as CDK/ADP.

Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of 2 Service Advisors and 6 Diesel Technicians.
Oversee daily service operations, workflow, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong business-to-business relationships with commercial customers.
Monitor department revenue, expenses, profitability, and performance goals.
Coach and develop team members while maintaining accountability and high service standards.
Identify opportunities to grow service business and strengthen customer retention.
