About The Position

Align is seeking an Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across its Managed Services and Professional Services organizations. The role develops operating processes, performance insights, dashboards, forecasting models, and AI-enabled solutions to help leaders make better decisions and improve execution. The successful candidate is an analytical operations leader who works across business functions to establish scalable operating rhythms, improve workflows, turn data into action, and help the organization use AI and automation effectively. This is a hybrid position based out of Align’s New York City office. It is full-time, with full benefits, a base salary of $140,000–$160,000 commensurate with experience, paid training, and performance-based bonuses. The role encompasses process and workflow optimization, cross-functional alignment, budget and financial management, strategic planning, performance management, continuous improvement, data analytics and business intelligence, AI and automation, and data governance and quality. Success includes improving visibility into operational and financial performance, increasing adoption of standardized dashboards and business reviews, reducing manual reporting through automation, improving forecasting and resource planning, and delivering measurable efficiency gains through process improvements and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in operations management, business operations, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience improving operational processes and establishing scalable workflows or operating rhythms.
Advanced experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI or a comparable business intelligence platform.
Strong analytical, forecasting, financial analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience combining data from multiple business systems.
Ability to convert business needs into meaningful metrics, reporting, analysis, and action plans.
Strong communication, presentation, project management, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work across functions, manage competing priorities, and influence decisions without relying solely on formal authority.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Managed Services, Professional Services, consulting, or a technology services environment.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, or similar technologies.
Working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data architecture, and business intelligence best practices.
Experience with resource planning, utilization reporting, project forecasting, profitability analysis, and service-delivery metrics.
Experience leading cross-functional process improvement, automation, or operational transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable procedures, tools, and operational rhythms to improve efficiency, consistency, accountability, and service delivery.
Partner with Managed Services, Professional Services, Finance, People Operations, Sales, Technology, and executive leadership to execute company priorities and align reporting and operational needs.
Track operational expenditures and financial performance, monitor KPIs, and conduct cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses.
Support planning cycles, manage milestones for operational initiatives, and translate complex information into executive-level recommendations.
Establish operational scorecards, business reviews, and accountability mechanisms that connect team activities to business outcomes.
Identify bottlenecks, control gaps, and opportunities for standardization, then lead measurable and sustainable improvements.
Design, build, and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions using Power BI and related tools.
Analyze operational, financial, project, and service-delivery data to identify trends, risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Develop forecasting models for resource planning, utilization, project performance, revenue, backlog, capacity, and service operations.
Consolidate and validate information from multiple business systems to produce consistent, decision-ready reporting.
Translate complex datasets into clear findings, business implications, and recommended actions for leadership.
Increase dashboard adoption by presenting solutions, gathering stakeholder feedback, and providing user guidance.
Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to operational workflows, reporting, knowledge management, and decision support.
Design and implement practical AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Power Automate, and other approved technologies.
Automate reporting, data preparation, notifications, approvals, and other recurring processes to reduce repetitive manual work.
Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and recommend business use cases based on operational value, feasibility, responsible use, and measurable outcomes.
Partner with business stakeholders to support adoption, document solutions, and establish repeatable practices.
Establish standards for data accuracy, consistency, ownership, and metric definitions.
Document core reports, dashboards, data sources, calculations, and operating procedures.
Investigate data discrepancies, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
Promote reliable and consistent use of operational data across Managed Services and Professional Services.
