The Operations Manager analyzes a client’s current operating environment, identifies opportunities for improvement, and helps refine the client’s definition of success through discussions with leadership and support staff. The role designs data collection plans, facilitates workshops, and communicates research and analysis using methods such as root cause analysis, SIPOC charts, fishbone diagrams, failure mode and effects analyses, trend analysis, and future state models to build stakeholder understanding and agreement. The position develops and maintains integrated master schedules for training exercises, workshops, and capability demonstrations; coordinates cross-functional teams; tracks program metrics and reports performance and risk to senior leadership; and leads risk mitigation and continuous process improvement. It also requires supporting enterprise IT operations and infrastructure, maintaining procedures and schedules for mission readiness and service continuity, and resolving operational and technical issues with minimal disruption.
