About The Position
Peaden Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical is hiring an Operations Manager to lead residential HVAC service and installation teams in Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, or Pensacola, Florida. The role oversees day-to-day operations, develops technicians and frontline leaders, and drives service quality, operational performance, profitability, and business growth. The manager may also support plumbing and electrical operations as business needs require. The position offers opportunities to grow toward General Manager or senior operational leadership roles.
Requirements
- Proven management or operational leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of HVAC field operations, technician performance, and service delivery.
- Experience managing revenue goals, profitability, KPIs, and team performance.
- Demonstrated success coaching technicians and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to complete required pre-employment screening.
Nice To Haves
- Residential HVAC service or installation management experience is strongly preferred.
- Plumbing, electrical, or broader residential home services leadership experience is considered.
- ServiceTitan or similar field service software experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop residential HVAC service technicians, installers, supervisors, and frontline leaders.
- Oversee daily HVAC service and installation operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Drive revenue, operational performance, and department growth.
- Monitor and improve KPIs, including average ticket, conversion rates, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct ride-alongs, performance reviews, team meetings, and technical development initiatives.
- Partner with dispatch to optimize scheduling, technician utilization, and customer experience.
- Recruit, train, and retain skilled HVAC professionals while developing future leaders.
- Establish accountability, resolve operational challenges, and improve team performance.
- Support plumbing and electrical operations as business needs require.
- Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, and customer service.
