About The Position

The Operations Manager works in Target’s Distribution and Receive Centers, helping get products to guests quickly. The role focuses on safety, leadership, operational excellence, problem-solving, and teamwork. The manager fosters a safety-first culture through awareness, training, and accountability, and leads the team to maximize productivity, growth, and development. They create a positive work environment through real-time observation and specific, constructive, actionable feedback. With a sense of urgency, they ensure operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are informed and coordinated across functions. The role also involves innovating processes and methods to improve efficiency and optimize future process flow, identifying root causes, testing solutions, and helping teams meet business goals. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

The schedule is Saturday through Monday, approximately 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The position is based at the Regional Distribution Center in Galesburg, Michigan.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including the ability to engage and motivate others.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Good reasoning, conflict-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including mezzanine platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures, perform updates, and operate Distribution Center systems and programs; examples include traversing conveyor crossovers.
