Operations Manager
About The Position
The Operations Manager oversees and optimizes day-to-day logistics operations, including the movement of goods, inventory management, and supply-chain performance. The role leads logistics professionals, implements strategies to improve operational efficiency, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. At 1 Click Logistics, the role manages transportation, warehousing, inventory, and order fulfillment; works to improve service, quality, safety, and cost performance; and directly supervises Warehouse Supervisors. The position also supports compliance, continuous improvement, and the effective use of warehouse management systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, supply-chain management, and transportation strategies.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory-control software.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and customs requirements.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement logistics best practices.
- Ability to lead salaried/exempt positions in a multi-shift operation with more than 50 employees.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software, including MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least four years of experience in Operations Management.
Responsibilities
- Manage transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment operations.
- Develop and implement supply-chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers to support timely, cost-effective transportation and delivery.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and enforce SOPs to maintain consistency and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, customer service, and other cross-functional teams.
- Lead, train, and develop logistics employees, including providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Use warehouse management systems to track and manage inventory, shipments, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, regional, and international regulations and customs requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technological advancement.
- Track market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
- Directly supervise Warehouse Supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
