About The Position

Virginia Linen Service is hiring an Operations Manager to run second-shift production and distribution at its commercial laundry plant in Petersburg, Virginia. The role oversees about 30 associates and the supervisors who lead them, and is responsible for the shift’s results. It is a hands-on floor position, with approximately 80% of the shift spent working with employees and equipment rather than at a desk. The Operations Manager reports to the Assistant General Manager. The position is full-time, scheduled from 3 PM to 11 PM, with weekend rotation based on business needs. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 per year. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience managing a production team in a plant, manufacturing, or distribution operation.
Experience managing more than one department or area at the same time.
Availability to work 3 PM to 11 PM, with weekend rotation based on business needs.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and remain on one's feet for most of the shift.
Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities
