About The Position
Join AmeriLux’s operations leadership team and help shape and grow a department. The Operations Leader owns a full department and is responsible for developing it across safety, quality, delivery, and cost while helping the team reach its potential. The role oversees production performance, workplace safety, product quality, labor planning, department costs, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement. Success is measured by on-time production and fill rate, safety results, product quality, labor cost, and team turnover and productivity.
Requirements
- Experience leading a production or manufacturing department, including direct people management.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and ownership of safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production output against schedule and demand.
- Ensure the safety of everyone on the floor, including OSHA compliance and incident response.
- Manage product quality and scrap or rework rates.
- Plan labor, staffing levels, and overtime.
- Directly supervise, coach, and manage the performance of the production team.
- Manage the department budget, cost per unit, and equipment uptime.
- Drive continuous improvement in process, layout, and throughput.
