About The Position
The Operations Leader owns and grows a production department at AmeriLux, with responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role leads the department’s daily operations and production team while developing employees and improving the department’s performance and potential.
Requirements
- Experience leading a production or manufacturing department, including direct people management.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and experience owning a safety program.
- Experience with safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily production output in line with the schedule and demand.
- Ensure the safety of everyone on the production floor, including OSHA compliance and incident response.
- Manage product quality, scrap, and rework rates.
- Plan labor, determine staffing levels, and control overtime.
- Directly supervise, coach, and manage the performance of the production team.
- Manage the department budget, cost per unit, and equipment uptime.
- Continuously improve processes, layout, and throughput.
