About The Position

The Operations Lead is a member of the store leadership team responsible for driving and coaching profitability and efficiency. Working closely with Operations and Visual Managers, this role initiates and delegates work and provides feedback to help the team achieve optimal results across store operations. The position requires constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, the Operations Lead takes initiative to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient. The Operations Lead leads inventory management, operational execution, visual standards, and stockroom safety. As a business leader, the role partners with Operations and Visual Managers on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendors, technology, and facilities, and uses business metrics to support results. The role also directly oversees Operations Associates, supporting recruitment, development, evaluation, and ongoing feedback. In collaboration with store leaders and other functional leads, the Operations Lead executes operational initiatives, supports cross-functional training, and opens and closes the store according to back-of-house standards.

Requirements

At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric sales environment.
Proven leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.

Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Able to move constantly throughout all areas of the store.
Able to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
Able to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
Able to stand and move for an entire shift.
Available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts.
Able to work from the week of and including Black Friday until the end of the holiday season, in the first week of January.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute inventory management processes to maximize inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
Investigate root causes of inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
Manage shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
Champion strong visual standards on the sales floor.
Support a safe work environment and efficient operations through strong stockroom standards and processes.
Partner with Operations and Visual Managers on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
Use metrics and business acumen to support strategies that drive business results.
Assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests while working dynamically on the retail floor.
Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
Directly oversee Operations Associates, including recruiting and developing talent.
Use company performance tools to evaluate Operations Associates and provide ongoing feedback in partnership with the store leader.
Collaborate with the Visual Lead on cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead to support strong business execution.
Execute company-level operations directives, projects, and initiatives with the management team to achieve goals and KPIs.
Open and close the store in accordance with back-of-house standards.
Perform other tasks as needed to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.
