About The Position

Oak View Group is hiring an Operations Ice Crew member at CURE Insurance Arena. The role performs occasional maintenance and repairs on rink equipment and works with the Facilities Department to provide optimal ice conditions for ice events. It also supports ice installation and removal and event conversions. The position pays $17.00–$18.00 per hour and is part-time. The posting remains open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

Must be able to use power tools.
Solid understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
Must be comfortable working in very cold or very hot conditions for extended periods of time.
Must be able to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, climb stairs or ladders, and stoop for extended periods of time.
Ability to adhere to building policies and event requirements.
Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members and leaders.
Must be able to work long, irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with ice maintenance, ice repair, and rink equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and occasional maintenance and repairs of rink equipment and systems, including Zambonis, dasher systems, subfloor systems, tempered and acrylic glass, safety netting, Jet Ice systems, ice edgers, goal nets, and related equipment.
Work collaboratively with the Facilities Department to maintain optimal ice conditions for ice-related events and activities.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and removal of ice surfaces as required.
Support the Operations Department with event conversions and changeovers to ensure timely and efficient transitions between events.
Inspect rink equipment and related systems and report maintenance needs, damage, or operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
