POSITION SUMMARY LOCATION: Remote - Greater Atlanta, GA preferred TRAVEL: Local: Estimated 5 days/month, Overnight: Limited, as required (Estimated ~2x-5x/year) LEVEL: Entry-Level TO APPLY: Interested applicants must submit a resume and cover letter via the application link. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations & Compliance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of logistics, compliance, and operational workflows across The Battery Network’s battery recycling programs. This role supports the organization’s ability to scale by managing day-to-day operational tasks, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements across a complex network of service providers, vendors, and internal teams. This is a remote position that could spend an estimated 5 days per month collaborating on site with a closely integrated vendor who is located north-west of metro Atlanta. Only candidates who live within 50 miles of Marietta, GA, will be considered. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Compliance, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field AND/OR 1-3 years’ experience in operations compliance, supply chain or administrative coordination.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for The Battery Network, with or without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end shipment logistics, including scheduling, process documentation, and troubleshooting for high-volume and specialized shipments.
  • Maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor inventory, create inventory movement, and manage delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with freight brokers, battery recycling processors, and external vendors to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, including resolving shipment refusals and rerouting as needed.
  • Provide on-site support for process development, innovation, system implementation, and change management assistance at preferred vendors.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., International Organization for Standardization [ISO], Department of Transportation [DOT]) and internal standards for battery handling, sorting, and reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies such as duplicate or unknown enterprise resource planning (ERP) entries.
  • Support audit readiness and vendor performance tracking through detailed reporting and documentation.
  • Maintain and update operational data systems (e.g., ERP) with accurate shipment, backlog, and ERP entry information.
  • Collaborate on the development of automated alerts and dashboards for regulated state compliance, throughput, and unattributed reporting.
