About The Position

Better at Home LLC is seeking an Operations & Care Manager to serve as the operational backbone of its home care agency. This hybrid leadership role combines daily office operations—including caregiver scheduling, compliance, and team support—with field responsibilities such as supervisory visits, client assessments, and care plan reviews. The manager also provides emergency, hands-on personal care when needed to ensure continuity of client care. The role suits an organized and empathetic leader who can manage changing priorities, support caregivers, and contribute directly to care delivery across the Wellington and Mentor service areas.

Requirements

1–2 years of hands-on caregiving, home health, or hospital experience.
Experience in office management, staff scheduling, or care coordination.
Proficiency with EMR and scheduling software.
Physical ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care, including bathing and transferring, when needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

HHA certificate or similar credential.

Responsibilities

Manage caregiver schedules and ensure shift coverage.
Maintain EMR records and support compliance.
Serve as a central communication hub and resolve day-to-day disputes professionally.
Lead caregiver onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training.
Conduct on-site supervisory visits, client assessments, and care plan reviews.
Provide emergency direct personal care, including assistance with activities of daily living, companionship, and safe transfers.
Travel between the Wellington and Mentor service areas as business needs dictate.
