About The Position

The Operations Associate is a part-time, non-exempt member of the store team who helps drive profitability and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Operations & Visual Management team, this role supports store operations, inventory accuracy, shipment and product flow, visual standards, and a safe, efficient stockroom and sales floor. The associate uses business metrics to support store strategies and responds to client needs while helping keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.

Associates are expected to work up to 30 hours per week according to business needs, with shifts of at least four hours. All employees must be able to work during the company’s holiday blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the first week of January.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior work experience in a client-centric sales and operational environment.
• Ability to move constantly throughout all areas of the store.
• Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
• Passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences.
• Self-motivation and a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
• Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles.
• Availability to work during the company’s holiday blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the first week of January.

Responsibilities

• Execute inventory management processes to maximize inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
• Investigate and identify root causes of inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General/Store Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Support shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intraday replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
• Maintain and champion strong visual standards on the sales floor.
• Support reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operations through strong stockroom standards and processes.
• Move dynamically around the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Management team.
• Assist with shipment processing and product flow, including visual merchandising placement and daily replenishment.
• Use metrics to support business-driving strategies.
• Resolve client needs quickly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
• When not assisting guests, take initiative to complete tasks that keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient.
