About The Position

The Operations Associate is a critical member of the store team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. Working closely with the Operations & Visual Management team, this role initiates and completes operational work and provides feedback to support optimal store operations.

The position supports inventory accuracy, shipment and product flow, visual standards, stockroom processes, and day-to-day store needs. Associates move throughout the store to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests, and take initiative to keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient when not assisting guests. Full-time associates are expected to have open availability seven days a week for 32–40 hours and must be able to work during the company’s holiday blackout period.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior work experience in a client-centric sales and operational environment.
• Ability to move constantly throughout all areas of the store.
• Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
• Passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences.
• Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
• Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles.
• Full-time associates must have open availability seven days a week, between 32 and 40 hours.
• Ability to work during the company blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving through the first week of January.

Responsibilities

• Execute inventory management processes to maximize inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
• Investigate the root causes of inventory accuracy issues and partner with the General/Store Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
• Support shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
• Maintain and champion strong visual standards on the sales floor.
• Work with reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to maintain and maximize operations.
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes.
• Move dynamically around the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives with the Operations & Visual Management team.
• Assist with shipment processing and product flow, including visual merchandising placement and daily replenishment.
• Use business metrics to support strategies that drive results.
• Resolve client needs quickly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
• When not assisting guests, take initiative to complete tasks that keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient.
